Sunday morning = swimming + biking + running
Danskin triathlon!
I loved it, minus waking up at 5 Am. That is not cool. One day I am going to an organize a lazy athlete’s event that begins at noon and everyone is going to LOVE me for it.
The swim is not a full-out swim. It is half swim, half underwater girl fight (kicking, elbowing, slapping). I am not sure which part is more exhausting.
I surived the swimfight….on to the bike!
After that = run! Which is clearly my favorite. I dig having my feet on the ground…it just feels good.
Look how pumped I am to start this run!
Do not worry, the excitment wore off after about ten steps. Then I just wanted to be DONE, which happend 3 miles later
The best part was hanging with all the peeps that did the race with me: My RP (running partner – this girl trained with me for our first 26.2) Sarah, Emily and Erin. Winners x 4.
I also have to give some credit to our wonderful cheerleaders! Without whom the race would not have been near as fun!
I did not really “train” for this race, so I was very impressed when I saw some major improvements in all my times from last year.
My run pace was 8:46. This may be slow to some people, but keep in mind this is after swimming and biking and my pace usually averages about 10 minutes per mile! Maybe it was the awesome pb and nana wrap I ate that morning?!
Just as I was starting to think I was the bomb, reality humbled me.
Today I left my keys at the bookstore (and didn’t realize it untill I got back to my car about 4 hours later), and then later this afternoon I spent at least 30 minutes relocating my cell phone – per usual.
What is the deal, Brittany?
They need to come up with a name for this syndrome, make some kinda drug to fix it and a cheesy commercial to promote the drug. I would totally take the pills.
LEA syndrome. Lose Everything Always. Then when stuff like this happens, I can just be like “it’s not me, I suffer from severe LEA.”
I guess there is always room for more improvement.

LOOK AT YOU LADY! haha i love these photos! who knew someone could legitamitely and genuinely smile in bliss the whole way through a race! you astound and amaze me <3
Congrats on your accomplishment–good for not training.
What a great race! You look so happy, which is exactly what I would be if I had the ability to finish something like that.
Ali suffers from LEA syndrome. He may have the worst case ever. I should do a post about it becuase you won’t believe some of the things he’s forgotten.
Way to go!!! Maybe once upon a time I’ll be your RP. lol : )
